Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC is a red wine made using the Valpolicella Classico method with a second maceration over the sweet grape skins of Amarone and Recioto.
Once the initial fermentation is complete, the Valpolicella Classico is blended with the grape skins of Amarone, which triggers a second fermentation adding colour, sugars, and aromatics typical of this distinguished wine. The blend is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation (bitter malic acid is transformed into less bitter lactic acid) to become a soft wine with a unique and unmistakable character, enriched in body, colour, and aroma.
Intense ruby red in colour with a fresh and refined bouquet of mature fruits, spices, and tobacco.
The full and strong taste is perfectly combined with soft tannins.
