Aglianico is a red grape native to Southern Italy principally grown in the volcanic soils of Campania. Aglianico wines are concentrated and complex with aromas of black fruits, violets, herbs, leather, and smokey notes, followed by flavours of prunes, blackberries, coffee, chocolate, and sometimes tar. Aglianico's high tanning and acidity levels make these powerfully structured wines perfect for ageing.
