Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a red wine grape widely grown in the Burgundy region of France. Notoriously capricious to grow, Pinot Noir is often used in Champagne and other high-quality sparkling wines. Depending on the terroir, Pinot Noir wines are generally medium-bodied with medium tannins and high acidity. Aromas are complex, showing distinct notes of morello cherry and ripe red berries. With ageing, notes of tobacco, leather and spices can develop.
