Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Checo is full-bodied, intense and plump with a warm, majestic, and ever-changing palate. An iron fist in a regal, velvety silk glove. The full and intense bouquet is one of strawberries, pepper and herbs. Gentle tannins coat the month as flavours of mature cherries, leather and spices develop. The sumptuous finish is long, warm, and velvety. Drink now to 2035.

Damoli harvests their grapes entirely by hand. The overripe grapes are harvested at the end of October and then left to air-dry for around four months. The small quantity of thick juice and skins then undergo a long fermentation of 35 days in steel tanks, punctuated by daily hand mixing. The wine is then aged for five years in small French oak barrels.

Damoli, Veneto

Damoli is a small family run business that has been handed down for five generations. Damoli's vineyards are located on the hills of Negrar and Mazzano, right in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area. Passion, knowledge and hard work have been translated into consistently exceptional wines.

Corvina

Corvina is a traditional Italian grape mostly planted in northeast Italy. Its thick skin and propensity to ripen late make this grape ideal for air drying. Corvina wines are typically light-bodied and high in acidity with notes of sour cherry, almonds and herbs.

Corvinone

Corvinone was not fully recognised as a grape variety in its own right until the 1990s. In fact, Corvinone was thought to be a clone of the Corvina grape. Whilst remarkably similar to Corvina with thick skins and a tendency to ripen late, Corvinone's berries are larger. Unlike Corvina, Corvinone grapes tend to produce darker wines with deeper flavours of cherry and spice.

Rondinella

Rondinella grapes are indigenous to Italy and are almost exclusively grown in the Veneto region. Hardly used in single varietal wines, Rondinella is one of the essential grapes in Valpolicella. Ruby red in colour with low tannins, Rondinella wines tend to be neutral with distinct herbal notes.
